Meet the staff
Mandy Odom
Mandy Odom is a 2007 graduate of East Carolina University with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance & a minor in Business Administration. With over 30 years of experience, Mandy's performance history includes musicals, festivals, parades, pageants, competitions, cruise ships & college faculty performances. Mandy was crowned Miss Neuse 2001 & continues to serve as the choreographer for the Pageant and was blessed to receive the Honorary Lifetime Member Award from Hugo Fire & Rescue. Mandy is certified by Acrobatics Arts & received her Masters in Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Modern from Dance Masters of America's teacher training school in New York. She was truly humbled to receive the Bachna Scholarship for being someone who exemplifies the program to undergraduates by showing leadership, enthusiasm, & dedication to the love of teaching. She has also enjoyed teaching
movement at Westminster preschool for the past 9 years. Since the age of five, Mandy's childhood dream was to open her own dance studio. Mandy is excited to celebrate her seventeenth year as owner & director of Mooves Dance Studio. When she's not dancing, she enjoys spending time with her husband Ray, her kids Ally, Luke and Eli and dog, Jake.
Connor Potter
Connor Potter has been dancing for the past 27 years and 15 of those years have been at Mooves. She has been on our staff for the past 13 years. After obtaining a Associates Degree from Wayne Community College, Connor went on to graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education. She is now a 5th grade teacher at Moss Hill Elementary. She is certified through Dance Masters of America's teacher training program and successfully completed her Associates in Tap & Jazz. She is also certified through Acrobatic Arts & is a team member of the T-49 international dance convention. She is so excited to be welcoming a daughter into her family this year.
Lindsay Adams
Lindsay Adams has been dancing for 14 years at Mooves and on our staff for 10 years. She enjoys pursuing a career in photography as well as dancing. Lindsay's favorite style of dance is lyrical. She loves working with all ages of children, but she especially enjoys helping the Kindergarten-1st grade age group solidify their foundation in dance that will carry them throughout their dance education. When she's not at the studio she enjoys spending time with her husband Chase and their daughter Carrington.
Allie Waller
Allie Waller is a former student at Alexander Paul Institute of Hair Design. After graduation, she opened her very own salon, The Glam Bar. She has been dancing for 18 years and on staff for 8 years. Allie's favorite style of dance is Hip Hop and she loves being able to watch her students grow through the years.
Aubrie Smith
Aubrie Smith is a graduate from Lenoir Community College with a degree in Surgical Tech. She is now employed at Dermatology Associates of Coastal Carolina. She has been dancing for 18 years and she has been on our staff for 7 years. Aubrie's favorite style of dance is clogging and she loves getting to know all the kids.
Kendall Cash
Kendall Cash is a graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education. She is now a 2nd grade teacher at Northwest Elementary. She has been dancing for 10 years and has been on our staff for 6 years. Kendall's favorite style of dance is jazz and she loves sharing her passion for dance with others. She enjoys spending time with her husband Trey and their fur-babies.
Emily Cannon
Emily Cannon is a graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education. She is now a 1st grade teacher at Contentnea-Savannah. She has been dancing for 14 years and has been on our staff for 6 years. Emily's favorite style of dance is contemporary and she enjoys reading, drinking coffee and spending time with her husband Jarrett and her puppy Flynn.
Hannah Joyner
Hannah Joyner is a student at Pitt Community College pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy. She has been dancing for 11 years and has been on our staff for 5 years. Hannah's favorite style of dance is Contemporary and she loves teaching her Acro students and watching them grow in their skills.
Leah Jones
Leah Jones is a graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education. She is now a Kindergarten teacher at Northwest Elementary. She has been dancing for 17 years and has been on our staff for 3 years. Leah's favorite style of dance is Contemporary and she loves teaching her students and watching them grow in their skills. She enjoys spending time with her husband Chase and her daughter Rigsby.
